COMMUNITY BENEFITS
VALUE THAT STAYS IN THE REGION
A project of this scale gets built one of two ways: fly in and fly out, or built by the town beside it. Boolathana has an established regional centre on its doorstep – with the workforce, services and businesses that a construction programme and decades of operation will need.
That proximity is not a convenience. It is what allows the work, and the money, to stay in the Gascoyne.

The Gascoyne Green Energy Boolathana project is consistent with and an enabler of Diversify WA, the State’s economic development framework. Energy is a key focus industry for the Western Australian government. Its objective is to secure quality jobs (300,000 in the regions), grow and diversify the economy and attract investment to WA.
The State Government recognises that the private sector and proponents such as GGE, play a critical role in the State’s economic future. To assist the private sector, the State Government provides the strategic foundations for economic growth to include provision of a stable regulatory environment, appropriate infrastructure and sound fiscal management [1]
The Gascoyne’s advantage is regional.
What it produces is national.
